3 Tips for a Dominatrix Touring to LA

I’ve revealed a lot of the dirty secrets of LA’s sex industry since starting this blog—particularly those that apply to kink, femdom, and BDSM. While this may have assisted or informed some of you, I’ve come to realize that many of you sex workers may still be falling through the cracks. Perhaps this is because there’s such a large learning gap in LA’s sexy industry, such that it’s difficult for anyone peripheral to penetrate without sufficient guidance. Don’t worry, if you’re a Dominatrix that’s interested in taking a trip to Los Angeles, I’ve listed three surefire tips to help you climb the Hollywood ladder:

  • Make Connections: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, LA, more than any other city I’ve done sex work in, is all about the connections. To get into the biggest and most exclusive Beverly Hills events or play parties, a Dominatrix cannot simply google search. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, even Mistresses on tour will still have to put in the work to get their name out there and that means meeting folks face to face. While this has become exceedingly more difficult due to COVID-19, you can start by attending virtual events like those featured on Fetlife or by scheduling collaborations with local fetish photographers, videographers, and adult performers.
  • Take Pictures: This leads me to my next point… take plenty of pictures while you’re touring Los Angeles! LA is famous for it’s sunny weather, sweeping landscapes, and perfectly designed film and photo studios—don’t waste these opportunities, take advantage of them! As a Dominatrix and Fetish Model that easily finds herself booking 3-6 photo shoots a month, it’s shocking to me how rarely other Dominatrixes take new pictures. Sex work and entertainment as a whole are both are visual, sensory industries, such that one should always invest in producing their best media. I always work with @DKvision when I’m in Los Angeles, he’s one of the best in the industry for fetish photography and videography.
  • Don’t Forget to Advertise: Which reminds me, don’t hesitate to post the photos you’ve taken and DEFINITELY don’t forget to advertise! Back when I was just a baby Domme, I had no idea about escort directories or where clients and providers would even find each other. It wasn’t until my mentors, Isabella Sinclair and Ariana Chevalier instructed me to try advertising on Eros.com and begin my Twitter profile that I became privy to the world of online sex work. These two websites are still largely the life blood my business and I can’t imagine how I ever booked clients without them. Eros.com is the most straightforward of the two, allowing its users to simply upload and input profile information. However, if you haven’t already explored Twitter, it can be a bit of a hurdle to navigate. If you’ve yet to create a Twitter profile, but are still hoping to make the most out of your upcoming trip to Los Angeles, I’d recommend starting with my profile and then exploring other fetish, BDSM, and/or porn accounts to better understand the lay of the land. And of course, feel free to reach out to me for a consultation should you need any more help 😉
